Health Benefits of Ghee: Clarified butter can help boost the immune system, enhance digestion, help with the absorption of vitamins, help to reduce inflammation, promote better memory, produce more and better quality semen, helps to lubricate connective tissues for better flexibility and unlike butter, ghee can be used on mild burns to reduce pain and blisters if applied immediately to the burn. You can take 2 teaspoons of ghee daily as a supplement, but if you are using it to cook with or adding it to your vegetable dishes, there's no need for more. Clarified butter is a fat and you don't want to overdo your daily fat consumption. We need some fat in our diet to maintain good health. Ghee is a great tasting and versatile alternative to any cooking oil. It's lactose free and if you are looking for a healthy alternative to your present cooking oil, clarified butter will meet your needs and can provide health benefits.

A Massage with...BUTTER?

Hey, it's my massage right? I can call it anything I want...I am featuring a new reflexology massage called the Isesi massage. This type of massage has actually been around for centuries. My massage, like KANSA VATAKI (a intensive Ayurveda version), uses a derivative of butter called ghee (also known as clarified butter), the pure oil is massaged into the skin for many benefits. Ayurveda is the traditional medicine system of India. It is the world’s oldest healing system, dating back approximately 5,000 years. Ayurveda is considered to be the mother of all forms of modern medicine. "Ayur" means life and "Veda" means knowledge. Ayurveda means knowledge of life.

A Massage with...BUTTER?

I around 2500 BC the Egyptians are credited for the creation of reflexology. Since the ancient Egyptians valued ghee as a cure for eye problems, I have my suspicions that they also used it to massage the feet of the great Pharaohs and pyramid builders like. Why not? My newly featured massage is a hybrid version of Ayurveda ideas and also acknowledges a royal Egyptian influence in reflexology. Djedkare Isesi was the 8th Pharaoh of the fifth dynasty. His rein was 2388-2356 B.C. A carved bas relief in his tomb shows a bodyworker doing reflexology!
