I believe that the complete environment of your massage is just as important as the specific massage techniques used. On first thought, you may not feel that the room temperature, linens, choice of music, oils, table comfort, and aromas, etc., are that big of an issue. But, during the massage, if you are too cold or the music too loud or the smell of lavender brings back unpleasant childhood memories you'll become immediately aware of those things and the focus of your attention will switch from the massage itself to something else.
I believe that when you pay a premium price for a massage you should be able to leave the massage feeling rejuvenated, perhaps deeply relaxed (not every client wants to feel like a soggy noodle). Even so all of the above mentioned things, music, linens, oil, cleanliness and upkeep of the facilities, room temperature, etc., should go without undue notice by the client. The goal is to have these things enhance your overall experience and not detract from it.

Here's my bit of good news. When you have one of my massages you will be able to let go and focus on the massage itself knowing that all of the other details have been carefully considered. Every effort will be made to be certain that your experience is seamless. In addition, these details that you'd expect at a high end spa are included in my very reasonable rates.

Ask your current massage therapist about his or her music collection. Are they able to offer a wide variety of music (you know you don't always have to listen to the same type of music!).

I have collected over 200 hours of music ranging from Tibetan Bells to Cinematic Soundtracks! Listed below are some of the many categories of music you can choose from. The surrounding sound is played using powerful Bose speakers for crystal clear digital sound.

I regularly use Pure Fiji massage products. They are premium blends of pure exotic oils and fragrances from the islands of Fiji.
To me, as a massage professional, I find this inattention to detail a real shame. All massage therapists concentrate on finding and keeping regular massage clients, but yet many massage therapists fall short when it comes to the total massage treatment. Even spas (I won't mention any names here), fall short of the basic expectations of their guests. I know of one well known spa that can not even manage to keep the spa facilities in general working order. There is constant noise just outside the massage room door. The temperature can not be regulated at 76 degrees (ideal temperature) effectively and the house massage oil is like using dish soap on your skin. And, the oil has the potential of leaving your skin and clothing smelling bad. Who would come back after being treated like this? Especially after paying $140 to $200 for a massage!
